Our courses can help you comply with this duty of care; developing and certifying courses in rescue technics. In our courses, it's considered the standard of care, because they have been thoroughly reviewed and tested by professional rescuers, security organizations and in countries as Puerto Rico, Mexico, Colombia and Venezuela; our courses Rescue 3 (SAR on Vertical) has demonstrated, from time to time, again providing the necessary training to prepare people that can play to work in high-risk environments as extreme adventure, mountain tourism and on vertical, ice climbing, mountain SAR operations and situations, where management techniques with a string is required.
What are "the levels of training" and what is right for you?
Health and occupational safety, legislation does not contain specific recommendations for training in high risk environments as works in extreme adventure in nature and the high mountain environments, where the use of techniques in the management of rope is required as essential for the development of the activity; Therefore, the level of training needed will depend on the "standard of care" that is a legal term that is defined as "the care that can be expected of a reasonable person".
In the case of works in high mountain, adventure and tourism environments that require the use of techniques in the management of strings, the level of training required depends on the degree of exposure that has a particular risk; safety and rescue of business formation in the world and the Agency of the National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA) recognize 3 levels of different training qualifying to work increasing the proximity of a danger.
The NFPA 1670 standard States that, in relation to the levels of training; the competent authority shall establish the standard operating procedures that are consistent with each of the following levels of performance for each of the disciplines that are defined as follows:

Level of consciousness-basic: this level represents the minimum capacity of organizations that provide technical search and rescue incident response.

Level operations: this level represents the ability of organizations to respond to technical incidents search and rescue and to identify hazards, use rescue equipment and apply limited techniques specified in this standard to support and participate in technical search and rescue incidents.

Technical level: this level represents the ability of organizations to respond to search and rescue technical incidents and to identify dangers, rescue equipment is used and apply advanced techniques specified in this standard required to coordinate, conduct and supervise technical search and rescue incidents.
If, compliance with this standard is important for your organization, please note that having only level awareness or level operations, trained personnel responding to an incident requiring the use of techniques in the management of strings, will not be enough; It must be some operators trained at the technical level to coordinate and monitor the operation. At the operations level, operators are there to support and participate in the rescue but it is not able to drive it.
